About Monique Rogers

I have spent over 25 years in the Paint & Decorating industry as a finance and marketing director…an unusual combo.

My career began in the 90’s in Toronto, Canada, at Ritins Studio, which at the time was one of the premier decorative painting studios, contractors, and schools in North America. Owners Lori LeMare and Andrejs Ritins brought exceptional creative talent, while I provided the business acumen and marketing expertise. Through my efforts, the studio gained international recognition via frequent newspaper and television coverage. They taught more than 5,000 students from around the world and helped start the trend of “deco-tourism” by holding classes in France, Italy, and Toronto’s own Casa Loma. Ritins Studio’s work was regularly featured on City TV, in The Globe and Mail, and on CNN International.

While working at Ritins Studio, I met the owner of Modern Masters at a tradeshow in Nashville.  I soon moved to Los Angeles, became the Director of Marketing and Planning for Modern Masters, and helped the company to flourish. I rebranded many of the products and, together with the owner Jim Rogers, who became my husband, created new products.  We turned a small struggling business into an International success and a leading brand in the decorative and theme paint markets. Sales grew by 10x, gained International recognition, and we became the leader in our category.  I was an integral part of the sale of the company to RPM Inc.

I have developed marketing campaigns and private label programs for Behr, Martha Stewart, and Golden Paintworks. I also created intimate marketing programs, palette selection, and design assistance for product lines aimed at Disney and  Universal Studios.

Today I am a consultant for small businesses. My main focus is in Accounting/Bookkeeping and Business Planning & Analysis, although I do still offer some marketing services. My six years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online ensure that I am well-versed in managing financial records accurately and efficiently. With 25+ years in business planning, budgeting, financial reporting analysis, and marketing, I provide strategic insights and practical solutions tailored to my clients' unique business needs.
